Unexpected
Guest post written by our friend Sergio Chaney
I had the privilege of sitting down in the family room and having lunch last Tuesday afternoon. On a whim, I flipped on satellite dish tv and caught Giada at home on the Food Network. She was introducing us to a savory cheesecake. What a concept!
I had never thought about making a savory cheese cake but after seeing this recipe, I am now considering it! Simple ingredients and fresh basil makes this dish sing.
Baked off like a normal cheesecake in a water bath. Lining the spring form pan with parchment makes it easy to lift out of the pan. Chill completely and brush the top with olive oil makes the beautiful golden crust shine. Severed with an assortment of crackers and it is a crowd pleaser.
The best part is it can be made up to three days in advance and you can break it out whenever you need it. I love this idea for something unexpected at a party. I will bookmark it before I wrap up this lovely lunch of mine.

'Scary Face' Image Spooks the Web (Photo)
A picture of an elegant, sun-dappled living room hiding a scary face is spooking the web, going viral on Twitter and spawning other examples of hidden faces peeking out from otherwise mundane settings.
The image, seemingly a slice-of-life shot of a peaceful, tastefully appointed living room, packs a powerful punch to the one half of the population who admit to seeing a scary face hidden behind a comfy throw pillow. The rest are scratching their heads, wondering, "what's the big deal?"
The setup for the picture is nothing short of beautiful and, so far, whoever posted the image remains anonymous. It popped up innocuously on Twitter Thursday night and went viral soon after when the first messenger tweeted, "Mum posted a picture on my wall last night it was of a living room&a scary face under one of the pillows-.-".
The link to the photo has since been taken down, but the Daily Mail snagged a copy first and posted an article lighting a fire under the story.
Here's the picture:

Got Ghosts?
This kind of story has surfaced before, the most famous example being the dead kid lurking in a back bedroom while the actors in "Three Men And A Baby" shot their scene. It was later proven to be a wall poster, but that didn't stop true believers clamoring for an explanation. A real-life ghost story hidden in plain sight.
Other pictures of a scary face peeking out from an otherwise randomly candid moment have cropped up, pushing the story into the realm of the purely weird. Which is always good for a few shivers.
But none so far, have the fear factor of the original, since half the people who scan the image come up empty.
It just goes to show, there's nothing like a good ghost story around the campfire for injecting some chills into an otherwise humdrum existence.
Believe it or not...
